FARM CREDIT FOUNDATION FOR AGRICULTURAL ADVANCEMENT LAUNCHES 2019 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Applications for the 2019 Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement scholarship program will be accepted through January 11, 2019.

Westminster, MD – The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement will be awarding a total of $150,000 in scholarships to students who are planning to attend or are currently enrolled as full-time students at a college, university, or technical school, pursuing a career in agriculture. The deadline for all applications and supporting materials is January 11, 2019.
 
“Our scholarship program continues to grow each year with more opportunities for students pursuing a career in agriculture,” says Dale Hershey, Chairman of the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement. “We received applications from more than 120 talented students last year. It made the selection process a tough one, but I have no doubt the future of agriculture is in great hands.”
 
The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement’s scholarship program will award fifteen scholarships in 2019, each valued at $10,000. This program is open to high school seniors or students currently enrolled in a two or four year educational program. All applicants must be planning to pursue a career in agriculture. This includes students wanting to go into production agriculture, as well as those planning to be educators, veterinarians, engineers, economists, or another profession within the industry. Applicants must reside in MidAtlantic Farm Credit’s five-state territory.
